Instinct, a startup building a consumer AI agent, raised $1 billion in a Series C round at a $10 billion valuation, according to Yahoo Finance and Crunchbase News.

Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital and Coatue backed the round, both outlets reported. The new valuation is four times what Instinct was worth a month earlier, when it raised capital at $2.5 billion, according to Yahoo Finance.

Instinct's agent works over text and voice and can book travel, make restaurant reservations, pay bills, cancel subscriptions and order groceries, Yahoo Finance reported. Recent additions include a concierge feature that places phone calls on a user's behalf and a "trusted person network" that lets a user's agent coordinate with a friend's agent, according to the outlet.

"We're building Instinct to be the best personal agent that can handle the deeply personal nuances of everyday life," founder and chief executive Noah Shinn said, according to Yahoo Finance. The company launched an invite-only service in August 2026, the outlet reported.

Crunchbase News ranked the round as the week's largest in a top 10 list dominated by AI funding, ahead of EliseAI's $350 million raise and Armadin's $255.5 million round. A consumer agent still in invite-only beta quadrupling its valuation in a month is the clearest sign yet that investors are pricing the personal agent as its own category, separate from the chatbot wars.
