Meta launched Meta One, a set of subscription plans that pair expanded access to its AI tools with premium features across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, the company said Tuesday.
Individual plans start at $2.99 a month for a single app, or $7.99 for a Core bundle and $19.99 for Premium, both covering Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus and WhatsApp Plus features with more use of Meta's Muse image and video generation, according to TechCrunch and Dataconomy.
Business and creator tiers range from $14.99 a month for Essential, which adds a verified badge and wider access to Meta Business Agent, up to $499 a month for Max, aimed at teams running multiple accounts, TechCrunch reported. Advanced and Expert tiers in between add scheduling tools, exportable analytics and deeper audience insights.
Meta said the core experience on its apps and Meta AI stays free, and reported 15 million subscriptions and trials since the plans began rolling out. Pricing, benefits and availability vary by region and account type, and the company did not disclose exact AI usage limits, saying they could vary by country and system conditions, per TechCrunch.
The launch follows Meta's March subscription tests, which TechCrunch reported drove Instagram's daily revenue to $1.2 million by early September, a 475% weekly increase. For any business already paying for social tools, the practical question is whether the AI bundled in is worth the jump from a single $2.99 app plan to a multi-app tier.
