Terms of Service

Effective 2026-08-15. Nuralyn LLC is a Washington limited liability company.

Plain terms for the Poliety services. Read them; they are short on purpose.

1. Who you are contracting with

The Poliety services are operated by Nuralyn LLC, a Washington limited liability company. Poliety is a product family of Nuralyn LLC. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Nuralyn LLC, and "you" means the person or organization using the services.

2. What these terms cover

These terms cover every Poliety service:

  • Poliety News at poliety.com, including the free editions, feeds, event log and integrity chain.
  • The Poliety API at api.poliety.com, the paid keyed service.
  • Poliety Concierge at concierge.poliety.com and app.poliety.com.
  • The Poliety MCP server, published as the poliety-mcp npm package.

Using any of them means you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you are stating that you can bind it.

3. The free services

The daily edition, the feeds, the per-item content hashes, the event feed and the integrity chain head are free, unauthenticated, and intended to stay that way. You may read, cache, index, quote and build on them, including automatically and at scale, subject to the acceptable use section below. Attribution is expected where you republish our writing, and every brief names its original sources so you can attribute those too.

We publish one edition a day. We do not promise that any particular story appears, that publication happens at any particular hour, or that the schedule never changes.

4. The paid API

The paid API sells history, change cursors and filters over the same content the free surfaces publish. It does not sell better, earlier or additional news. A key is bound to the subscription that paid for it. Keep it secret: anyone holding your key can spend your quota, and we treat requests carrying a valid key as authorized by you.

Keys carry published rate limits and daily quotas. We may throttle or refuse requests that exceed them. If a subscription lapses, the key stops working; if the subscription comes back, the key is reinstated. We may revoke a key for abuse.

5. Poliety Concierge

Concierge answers questions about your business from sources you approve. The plan is $49 a month, covering one verified domain, up to 100 crawled pages and 500 answered questions a month, with a 14-day money-back period from your first payment. These figures are stated in prose here and held as configuration in the service; a test binds the two so they cannot drift.

Three things about Concierge you should understand before you buy:

  • You control what it says. Facts are extracted from your pages, and nothing reaches a published knowledge version until you approve it. We do not edit your approved facts.
  • It says unknown rather than guessing. When your approved facts do not answer a question, the answer is an honest unknown. That is the design, not a failure.
  • Answers are generated by a language model. They are grounded in your approved sources and carry a receipt, but they are generated text. They are not legal, financial, medical or professional advice, and they are not a substitute for your own published terms.

6. Your domain and your content

You may ask us to crawl a domain only if you own it or are authorized to act for its owner, which is why we require domain verification first. By requesting a crawl you grant us permission to fetch that domain's public pages, store their content, and derive facts from them for the purpose of operating your Concierge. That permission ends when your account ends.

You keep all rights in your content. We claim none beyond what running the service requires. You are responsible for the content itself: that you may publish it, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that answers built from it are not misleading to the people and agents who receive them.

Our crawler identifies itself as PolietyBot and honors robots.txt by default. A customer may direct it to override robots.txt only on a domain they have verified. Crawler conduct is documented at /bot.

7. Accounts and access

Concierge accounts sign in with a single-use emailed link. Anyone with access to your email inbox can sign in as you, so protect it. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or an API key has been compromised.

8. Fees, renewal and refunds

Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period, except under the Concierge 14-day money-back period, which refunds your first payment in full on request. We may change prices, and if we do, the change applies from your next renewal after we tell you. Prices we have explicitly described as locked for the life of a subscription stay locked for that subscription.

Taxes are your responsibility unless we are legally required to collect them.

9. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Attempt to break, overload, or work around the rate limits, quotas or access controls.
  • Use the services to build or publish anything unlawful, deceptive, or designed to harm people.
  • Present Concierge answers as coming from a business you do not represent, or configure a Concierge to impersonate someone.
  • Feed the crawler content you do not have the right to publish.
  • Resell the paid API's raw responses as a competing feed. Building a product that uses them is fine; reselling the feed itself is not.
  • Probe our security without following the process in our security.txt. Good-faith research reported that way is welcome.

10. Availability

We do not offer a service level agreement. We run these services carefully and publish an unauthenticated health beacon so you can check freshness yourself rather than trusting a status page. Interruptions, maintenance and changes happen. We may change or discontinue any service; for paid services we will give reasonable notice and, if we discontinue a service you have paid for, refund the unused portion.

Machine endpoints are a contract we take seriously. The paths listed as permanent in /llms.txt are intended to stay where they are.

11. Our content and yours

Poliety News writing, the site, the software and the marks are ours. You may quote and link freely with attribution. You may not copy the service itself.

News briefs summarize and link to third-party reporting. Those sources belong to their publishers, and their terms govern their material. We attribute every source and correct errors when we find them.

12. Ending the relationship

You can stop using the free services any time. You can cancel a paid subscription any time from the checkout portal or by writing to concierge@poliety.com.

We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, that we are legally required to end, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. What happens to your data afterwards is described in the Privacy Policy, including how to have it deleted sooner.

13. Disclaimers

The services are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any content, brief, extracted fact or generated answer is accurate, complete or current.

Nothing on our services is professional advice. Verify before you act on it. That is why we publish hashes, sources and receipts.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the greater of one hundred United States dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. Where that is true, they apply to the maximum extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

15. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of the services, or your breach of these terms. This does not apply to claims caused by our own breach or misconduct.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Washington State, and both sides consent to that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a place whose law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, this clause does not take that right away.

Before filing anything, write to concierge@poliety.com. Most problems are faster to fix than to litigate.

17. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do. For material changes affecting a paid service, we will tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the services after that means you accept the update.
